Befesa Gestión de Residuos Industriales manages wastes from different universities throughout Spain
Befesa Gestión de Residuos Industriales manages the waste materials from almost all the universities of Madrid, and its most important research centers. The services provided cover the collection, handling, tagging and shipping of the hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, and documentation management, that is to say, their integral management. Prior classification is done in all the centers, separating the wastes into different types of containers according to chemical and physical compatibility criteria. This prevents risks at both the production and waste reception centers.
The wastes are empty plastic and metallic containers, used oils, batteries, cells and phytosanitary rubbish. Furthermore, the removal of chemical wastes from the Chemistry Faculty laboratory and from the developer and setter in the Fine Arts Faculty is done monthly.
